Measuring - Tall and Short

Who do we think is the tallest? Who do we think is the shortest?
In Room 2 and 3 we are learning to order from tallest to shortest.

Some boys found a weta hiding under our shelves today!
Luckily Tyson's mum didn't mind picking it up so that we could all have a good look at it.
We counted the legs-there were 6!

We also found out that the weta has antennae and feelers-look how long they are!

 We got out the magnifying glasses so that we could take a closer look.

Tyson's mum then put the weta back outside into it's natural habitat.
 What an exciting morning we had today!

Ambury Farm

We also saw baby calves, sheep, hens, goats and a horse. We got to feed all the animals. We had a fabulous day at Ambury Farm.

We watched a cow being milked. We watched the milk go through some special pipes and we got to pat the cow.

Feeding the baby lambs was lots of fun.

We watched a shearing      demonstration. We got to feel the wool, it was very soft.

Measurement

We are working on measurement for maths. We have been learning to use the words longest and shortest.

PMP

We love Monday mornings when we get to go over to the hall and take part in PMP. It is lots of fun. We crawl through obstacles, roll the ball, jump, hop and do many other fun things.
