Play Based Learning this week

We have done lots of learning and had lots of fun during Play Based Learning this week.  Here are a few photos to show you what we have been doing.

PMP fun!

Today in PMP we had lots of fun.  We worked on balancing, rolling, throwing, catching and lots of other cool things!  If you can spare some time to come and help us with our PMP Programme we would be very grateful.  Come in and see us if you can help.

Papier mache

We have started to do some papier mache-it is messy but fun!

Our papier mache is a work in progress, we have to add many layers of paper before we can turn them into bees.

Play Based Learning Fun!!

During Play Based Learning the children used the Straw Set to make crowns.  They pretended that they were queen bees.  We are learning all about bees so they transferred this learning into their play.  They were able to proudly talk about bees and finished off the session by singing one of their favourite bee songs "Queen Bee".

Room 3 were very lucky to have Harry from Room 10 to come to our room to read us a story.  Harry did a great job of reading us a story confidently and with great expression!  Thanks Harry.

Numeracy

In Room 3 today during Numeracy we were making groups of objects.  We made sure we could read the number and then made a group to match the number.  We found out that it was easier to count the objects when they were in a line.

We love the LIBRARY!

Friday afternoon in the Library.  We love reading and sharing books and stories with each other.  We chose some books to take back to Room 2 and 3 to read next week.

We have had a busy few days painting our planter boxes and planting some flowers. Pop in and have a look at our colourful pots!

In Room 2 we have been learning to order numbers to 10.

We have a busy term ahead with our HONEY production in week 9. We will let you know more about the days and times closer to the time.

Our strand maths this term is geometry and this week we looked at identifying 2D shapes.
