Claude and Keli had fun today during play based learning making robots out of boxes. They had to do some problem solving when they realised the robot couldn't stand because the legs weren't the same length. It was great watching them solve this problem by finding another tube and measuring to see if it would fit.
I love your robots boys!
Welcome to Tuatahi, your child's first class. This blog is a place where we share our learning journey with our whanau and friends. Our whole school theme for 2022 is Superheroes, and this term we will look at the idea that not all superheroes wear capes. We look forward to working together to create a positive learning journey for your child.

A nice surprise
I was home sick today, but what a lovely surprise to get an email from Mrs Johns who kindly stepped in for me, and attached to her email was this photo of Niko and Noah working cooperatively together to build this awesome creation out of our new Gears set.
I wonder how tall it is boys-do you think it might be as tall as you?
Great team work boys!

Rob the nest!
We had a fun afternoon playing a game with our friends in Room 15 called Rob the Nest!
We had to make a team and then take turns to see who could get the most balls into their teams basket. It was lots of fun. Thanks Room 15 for teaching us this game, we can't wait to play it again!
Here we are trying to grab the ball from the basket-we can only take one ball at a time though!
There are no balls left in this basket so Leo has to go and find some in another teams basket.
Thaddeus is running to get a ball.
Here is the black team.
Here is the green team.
Here is the red team.
Here is yellow team.

Measuring
We had a busy morning measuring our hands with the cubes. We talked about how wide our hands are.
We also had fun measuring different things in our classroom with cubes. We wondered how tall and how wide things were.
Here are some photos of us doing our measuring investigations!
Great measuring everyone!
