Swimming week 4

Swimming for week 4 (March 2-6) will be on Wednesday 4 March and Friday 6 March.
Please send togs and towel in a separate bag on these days-thanks so much, we are enjoying our time in the pool.

More Alberton House.......

We played a game of pass the parcel, where we had to guess what the object was. All of the objects were things from the past.

  We also made butter!
We put cream into a jar and then all had a turn at beating it until it turned yellow-yummy butter!
We had some butter on a piklet-delicious!

Our Trip to Alberton House

We had a fabulous visit to Alberton House exploring the past.

Here we are at Alberton House.
This is a photo of what Mt Albert looked like long ago-does Owairaka Mountain, Mt Albert, look like this now?

Gardening

We had fun planting our gardens today.
First we planted silverbeet and lettuce in the butterfly garden for our chickens.
Then we planted flowers in our flower beds.
We must remember to water our plants!

swimming week 3

Week 3 (February 24-28)
Our swimming days this week will be Wednesday and Friday afternoon.
Everyone is enjoying the use of the pool on these very hot afternoons!

Maths

Connie, Scarlett and Tuhilani worked as a team to order numbers to 20.

Rio enjoyed 'stack it' and then he made a staircase out of cubes. He had to think about ordering from shortest to tallest.

Play Based Learning

We made binoculars to help us with our exploring.

Rio had a busy morning making a flying machine-it is still on our construction table for you to have a look at-great job Rio!

portraits

If you haven't seen our fabulous portraits outside our classroom, check them out next time you are at school!
