Holiday Reading Log

 You will have noticed a holiday reading log in your child's book bag, it looks like this one below.....

We encourage you to read as many books together as you can over the holiday period, and each time you do, then record it on the reading log and bring it into school at the beginning of next term.

If you bring your reading log back to school, you will get a lovely surprise visit from Fairy Judy who will give you a wee prize.

Popping popcorn........

Mrs Haines and I always love the last day of term as we carry on with our tradition of making popcorn boxes and yummy popcorn to put in them!

Tuakana Teina

 We have enjoyed having our Tuakana Teina helping out in our room on a Thursday afternoon as part of their Choose Thursday! 

A big thanks to Eli, Mariam,Maddie,Kesia and Mia for hanging out with us and having fun.

Farewell Coach Tom

 We have really enjoyed our Monday afternoon games time with Coach Tom from Kelly Sports. We were very sad to say goodbye  at  our final lesson on Monday.

What a busy time we have had.

PE in the sun!

 We enjoyed being outside practising our throwing and catching skills with a large ball.

We also practised rolling the ball to each other.

                      We had fun in the sun!

The Hungry Caterpillar.........

 We read the story of the Hungry Caterpillar this week.

Here is a photo of our create table, where our learners can have fun re-telling the story using the stick characters and story stones.

Jade, Charlotte and Grace had fun putting on a show to re-tell the story.

Jade has been creative.....

 During Play-based Learning time, Jade got to work making a fairy house. She also made a cute little fairy to go in it.

Transformers!

Some of our learners have been having fun making transformers out of mobilo. They make one thing, and then transform it into something different. 

Very clever!

Harvey made a plane, and then transformed it into a robot.

Oliver made a robot that could transform into a space ship.

                    Toby also made a robot.

Great work boys, your transformers are awesome!
