Maths

 We have been working hard to learn the names of some 2D shapes.

This week, we cut out and ordered our shapes from smallest to biggest.

PMP

 PMP(Perceptual motor programme) is a highlight of our week. We love the activities that help us develop our skills in coordination, balance, fitness and spacial awareness.

Look what we found on our walk today.............

On our way to find a digger, we saw a huge mower. Look how big the tyres are-they are taller than Jack!

 We enjoyed looking at the big hole the digger had made, the scoop was very big!

Loose parts play

 We are enjoying the sunshine and this afternoon we had lots of fun playing with materials from the loose parts shed.

A visit to the library

On Friday we visited the library.  It was so much fun exploring the library,  we found some great books to read and borrow. Thanks Miss Mitchell for taking the photos!

Thinking about shapes

On Friday we talked about triangles, squares, circles and rectangles.  We noticed that some shapes have straight sides and corners and some have curvy sides. We matched the shapes that were the same.   Look at the awesome work in our Maths activity books, we worked really hard cutting and matching.

Welomce back to term 4

 It's been lovely to see everyone back after the holidays, settled and ready for learning.

Our Tuatahi learners have been enjoying spending time with each other, especially during Play-based Learning time.

We are all about construction and vehicles this term. We are investigating what jobs a digger and dump truck might do, and looking at different signs that can be used during road construction.

Next week we are going to make our own diggers and dump trucks.
