Welcome to Tuatahi, your child's first class. This blog is a place where we share our learning journey with our whanau and friends. Our whole school theme for 2022 is Superheroes, and this term we will look at the idea that not all superheroes wear capes. We look forward to working together to create a positive learning journey for your child.

Term 2
Welcome to term 2! We hope you all had a great holiday and it is very exciting to welcome lots of new children to our Reception class-we hope you all have a fabulous start to school.
We have got a busy term with Science in a Van and Life Education visiting our school. We look forward to having lots of fun learning together this term.
Today we went for a walk around the school and we learnt why there are red lines in our playground. We know that when we get to a red line we need to STOP. We are not allowed to go past the red line.

Our Green Week wonder...............
We were wondering what our school chickens eat. Some students from Room 6 came in and talked to us about what they feed the chickens. We found out that they eat silverbeet, lettuce, corn and special pellets. We went for a walk around our school gardens to see if we could find some of the vegetables the chickens eat. Look what we found! |
We found some parsley |
We found lots of silverbeet |
We even found a little lettuce! The chickens lay eggs-we had a look inside the chicken coup to see where they lay their eggs. |
Thank you girls for coming to talk to us about the chickens! |
