Our walk up Owairaka Mountain

Did you know that the first line of our school Pepeha is Ko Owairaka te maunga.

This means, Owairaka is our mountain. 

Today we walked up our mountain. We were so lucky to have such fabulous weather, and all of our Tuatahi learners made it to the top with ease.

Great walking everyone, we were very proud of you!

 Before we left for our walk, Mrs Waddington showed us where we would be walking on a map.

We made it to the trig at the top-phew! What a great view, we could even see the sky tower!

 We had fun sliding down the hill and practising our swinging! There was also a big field to run around.

After all that walking, it was great to sit down and have a snack.

Here we are, all ready for our walk back to school.
