Welcome to Tuatahi, your child's first class. This blog is a place where we share our learning journey with our whanau and friends.
Our whole school theme for 2022 is Superheroes, and this term we will look at the idea that not all superheroes wear capes.
We look forward to working together to create a positive learning journey for your child.

Kei te pehea koutou katoa-how are you all?
We hope you had a lovely weekend. It was so nice to see the sunshine-I enjoyed going for walks around Cornwall Park, I wonder what you enjoyed doing with your whanau?
Here is some learning for today.
Fitness
Here is some fun videos full of music and action-a fun and cheerful start to the day-enjoy!
Phonics and plurals
Here is some new learning about plurals.
You have two jobs to do on the sheet below.
First, fill in the missing vowel from the middle of the word.
Here is a reminder of the vowels, practise making the sound for each vowel.
Then copy down the word to make it plural, by adding an s
Word of the week and writing.
Here are our sentences using the word was.
Now it's your turn to write a sentence using the word was.
Reading
It's time to practise reading magenta sight words-see if you can say the word before the voice on the video.
If you were able to read all of the magenta words, have a go at reading the red words.
.........and if you can read the red words, see how many yellow words you can read.
Don't forget to check out Sunshine Online by following the steps below.
Happy reading everyone!
Maths
Last week we learned how to order numbers from smallest to biggest.
Today we are going to order numbers differently, we are going to order from biggest to smallest.
It is a bit like counting backwards!
You can choose which sheet you would like to work from, but remember, it is biggest to smallest today!
