The art work on display was amazing.
Here are some photos of the art work produced by the learners in Tuatahi.
We used the painting 'Castle in the Sky' by Paul Klee as our inspiration.
Each student began their creation by looking at the picture and talking about the shapes they could see.
They then experimented by placing pre cut shapes onto paper. Once they were happy with their design, we took a photo of it.
We then used the photo to reproduce their design on paper.
Once they had painted and glued their shapes, they outlined each shape with charcoal, and then added a black wash to the background.
Well done Tuatahi, we love your 'Castle in the Sun' paintings.
Our 3D piece was a tissue paper bowl.
To make the bowls, we glued small pieces of tissue paper onto a water balloon. Once dry, we added another colour over the top.
The bowls are very delicate, but we love the way the colours have merged together. Here is a photo of our bowls.
Our final piece of work was a collaborative piece, where we all contributed to a class canvas.
Ka pai Tuatahi! You can all be very proud of your art.
