Welcome to Tuatahi, your child's first class. This blog is a place where we share our learning journey with our whanau and friends.
Our whole school theme for 2022 is Superheroes, and this term we will look at the idea that not all superheroes wear capes.
We look forward to working together to create a positive learning journey for your child.

Morena Tuatahi
Kei te pehea koutou katoa-how are you all?
We are missing you all today but we hope you are having a nice day at home with your whanau.
Here are a couple of activities you may like to do at home today.
Maths
We have been learning to recognise number patterns in tens frames.
Have a look at the tens frames below and see if you can write down the number to match.
How quickly can you recognise the pattern-can you say the number without having to count the dots?
Here is a fun song to practise counting from 1-20
Reading
Spend some time practising the letter names, sounds and words that are in your home learning book in your book bag, and remember to read your book to someone in your whanau.
We have been reading the book 'Dear Zoo' in class this week.
You may like to listen to the author reading it on line by clicking on the video below.
Can you draw one of the animals from the story.
We hope you have a great day Tuatahi, and remember to be kind!
