Welcome to Tuatahi, your child's first class. This blog is a place where we share our learning journey with our whanau and friends.
Our whole school theme for 2022 is Superheroes, and this term we will look at the idea that not all superheroes wear capes.
We look forward to working together to create a positive learning journey for your child.
It was so nice to see the sun out yesterday afternoon-I wonder if you managed to get outside for some fresh air?
Did you notice the date today-it is a new month, it is now November(Noema)!
Here is some learning for today.

Phonics
During our Google Meet on Friday, we read a story called Fantail Fantail. Our phonics work today is based on words from the story, so before you do your work, you need to click on the video below and listen to the story again.
Now that you have listened to the story, see if you can hear the beginning sounds of these words.
Here is our rhyming string for today. Can you hear the beginning sound-have a go at reading all of the words so that you can hear the rhyme.
Word of the week and writing
Here are my sentences using the word you.
Now it's your turn to write your own sentence using the word you.
Reading
Here are the magenta sight words for you to practise reading.
If you can read all of the magenta words, then have a go at reading these red words
And if you are ready for a challenge you can have a go at reading these yellow words!

I can't believe it is the end of the week already! I hope we get some sunshine over the weekend so that we can all get outside for some fresh air.

If you have some coloured pencils, crayons or felt pens at home, we would like you to bring to our Google Meet today. If you don't have any it doesn't matter at all, you can still join in with our learning.
Here is a fun energetic song to move to today, enjoy!
Because it's fun Friday, we thought we would post something a bit different to do.
This activity is called 'Spot the Difference'
You need to look carefully at the two pictures to see what is different. It gets very tricky to find some of the differences, so see if you can find 2 differences on each picture to start with.
You can make the picture bigger by clicking on the 3 little dots on the slide and enlarging the screen.
Have Fun!
Alphabet
You have all been doing a great job listening to the beginning, middle and end sounds. Now it's time to challenge yourself by listening carefully to all the sounds in the words below and then have a go at writing them down to spell the word.
