Morena Tuatahi
Kei te pehea koutou katoa-how are you all?
Thank you for showing Manaakitanga during our Google Meet yesterday! We had a few technical issues, but we should be back on track today.
We were really impressed with how well you all engaged and persevered with your learning-tino pai Tuatahi.
Here is some learning for today.
Fitness
Today you get to practise counting as well as following a repeating pattern, while working on your fitness at the same time!
Phonics
Now that we know our letter names and sounds, we are putting these together to make rhyming strings.
Yesterday we learnt at words.
Today we have a new rhyming string-can you fill in the missing letters to make the words rhyme?
Can you think of some other words that rhyme with vet, jet, wet?
Writing
Here are my sentences using the word when, have a go at reading them. Now it's your turn to write a sentence.
Reading
Let's get ready to practise reading our sight words. Remember to begin here with magenta.
You may like to give red words a go.
If you are ready for a challenge, you might like to have a go at reading these yellow words.
Here is a video of the author, Benji Davies, reading his own story.
This week we are practising following repeating patterns.
We hope you enjoy this slideshow below where you can practise finishing a repeating pattern.
If you have some coloured pencils, crayons or felt pens at home, we would like you to bring to our Google Meet today. If you don't have any it doesn't matter at all, you can still join in with our learning.
Kia pai te ra-have a good day Tuatahi.
Ka Kite
Kia ora Tuatahi, I hope you are all doing well in your bubbles. Wow, there are lots of exciting activities to choose from. Here is my WHEN sentence: I am going to feed my cat when I get home.
ReplyDeleteKia pai tō rā. (Have a good day.)
