Measurement

| We have been learning how to measure length. We started off by measuring different things around the classroom. We used cubes and sticks to see how long things were. |

End of term fun

| We thought about our school wide focus of making the world a better place and we decided that we could use up the left over oranges in our fruit bowl and make some orange cupcakes. We all had a turn at either measuring, mixing, juicing, zesting, beating and finally eating!! Our orange cupcakes were yummy. |

MATARIKI

| We celebrated Matariki- each class decorated their own Pou Toti(stilts) and shared them in our special Matariki assembly. Dekoyvn and Arden presented Room 10's Pou Toti. We are looking forward to having fun using these stilts during break times. We also sat together to share some steamed pudding that was cooked with the hangi. It was delicious. |

| Our Science activity today was around floating and sinking. We had to make a prediction about whether we thought the object would float or sink, then we tested it out!
