Shapes

We are learning about shapes.-We made some shapes out of ice block sticks.

When you are out and about see if you can find things that are different shapes.

Where do you think you might see a circle, or a square or even a diamond?

Can you remember how many sides a triangle has?

Can you remember how many corners a square has?

Have fun being a shape detective-shapes are everywhere!

Life Education

We are super excited to visit the Life Education Van.
When we get inside the van we sit against the wall-it is just like a  classroom inside!

We are learning what we need to be healthy so that we can grow and learn.
Michelle taught us that we need healthy food, water,shelter, love, oxygen and lots of rest. 

We are learning how to look after our special friends. If you look carefully you will see them in our hands!
We talked about how we can look after each other at school and what we can do if we see someone is sad.
It was really exciting to meet Harold the giraffe. We have painted some pictures of Harold-next time you are in Room 2, pop in and have a look at our lovely art.

Buddy Class 'Colours' Assembly 7/4/17

Getting Ready to start our special 'colour' themed assembly with our buddy class earlier this year in Term 1.

Buddy Time

What a lovely time we had on Friday. We  loved sharing our reading books with our big buddies from Room 25.

Shape fun!

Bubble Art

We made a mixture using bubble mixture and paint. Biniam is blowing big bubbles

                                                                 for his bubble art.                                                         

Next he puts paper on top of the bubbles.

Term 2

Welcome to term 2! We hope you all had a great holiday and it is very exciting to welcome lots of new children to our Reception class-we hope you all have a fabulous start to school.
We have got a busy term with Science in a Van and Life Education visiting our school. We look forward to having lots of fun learning together this term.

Today we went for a walk around the school and we learnt why there are red lines in our playground. We know that when we get to a red line we need to STOP. We are not allowed to go past the red line.
