This week we celebrated a school wide focus on  whales.

Book Week

 This week at school we celebrated Book Week.

In Tuatahi we have been reading Hairy Maclary books by Lynley Dodd.

We drew pictures of Hairy Maclary.

              We did Hairy Maclary puzzles

  We drew some of Hairy Maclary's friends!

       We re-tell the story using stick puppets.

 One of our maths activities this week was ordering numbers to 10.

Great job Brilee......

 One of our reading books this week was called 'Making a Rabbit'.

Brilee read this book at home and then made her own rabbit. It is brilliant-great job Brilee!

We love your rabbit-thanks for sharing this with us.

Architects in the making!

 There was lot's of construction going on during Play-based Learning today.

Maka built a toy factory.

Ruby and Lauren built a city.

There were some great duplo houses built also!

Flashback to some fun with shapes and construction!

 Lots of fun, learning and wondering about shapes and patterns.

What have we been choosing to do this week??

Here are some photos of some of the activities we have been choosing in the mornings.

Manu copied a pattern using ice block sticks.

Matthew has made a rectangle out of sticks-he remembered to have two short sides and two long sides.

Florence is practising her fine motor skills by picking up pompoms with the tweezers.
