Problem Solving


We are learning how to solve word problems. We are learning to read the question carefully and then highlight the important words in the problem.
We are learning to solve our word problems by drawing pictures.

We worked together in our group on a word problem, and then we had a go at at solving a problem on our own.

Try this problem at home:
There were eight apples in the fruit bowl, but if dad used five of these to make an apple pie, how many apples would be left in the bowl?
