Our Bees

On Friday morning some students from Room 19 came to talk to us about how they care for the bees in our school.



They showed us some of the important equipment they use when they enter the beehive.
We know they must wear special clothes to keep them safe from the bees.
We also found out that they blow smoke into the hive which helps to calm the bees so they don't sting the beekeeper!!

    Hi Room 2 and 3. How exciting for you to have a special visitor. I didn't know that you needed to blow smoke into hives to calm bees down.
