Our visit to see our school chickens!

Yesterday Room 2 had a visit from Lilia and Alodia who are our school chicken monitors.
They talked to us about their special job.
These are some of the things they do to look after the chickens:
.feed them-special pallets, grass and vegetables
.clean their chicken coop
.give them fresh water
.let them out to roam around
.send them back in to the chicken coop
.collect the eggs

We had a look inside the coop and had a go at feeding the chickens.
We also had a look to see if we could see any eggs-can you find them in the photos?

Here are Lilia and Alodia ready to take us inside.

I wonder what is inside this box?

Can you remember why the paper is in this box?

Katrina has found the special pallets for the chickens to eat.

Leo is feeding the chickens some special grass.

Well done Keli and Esperanza, you have found an egg!

Peter found a kiwifruit for the chickens to eat.

We are using our visit to motivate our writing. We will share this with you when we have it published!
