Tuesday 16 February

 Morena Tuatahi

We hope you had a nice day yesterday and managed to do a few learning tasks.

It's great to see the rain has stopped so maybe you could get outside to count how many steps to your letterbox!

Here are a couple of fitness clips to get you ready for the day-have fun!

Yesterday we looked for things in our house that are shaped like a circle. I wonder what you found?

Today we are going to look for things that are square shaped.

How many sides and corners can you count on this square. Have a look around your house for things that are shaped like this. We would love to see some photos of what you have found.

Now for some counting practise. Yesterday you counted how many forks you had in the kitchen. Today we would like you to count how many spoons you have in your kitchen drawer.
A little trick to help you count is to put the spoons in a row, it makes it easier to count.

Here is the nz phonics song to practise the names and sounds of the letters

Don't forget to check out the board we posted yesterday with some other ideas.

Today's story is 'The Kuia and the Spider'

Have fun and be kind. We look forward to seeing you soon.
