Road Safety Week

As part of our road safety week, we spent some time this afternoon learning how to cross on the pedestrian crossing by our school safely.

Thank you to Jared and Zoe who are road patrol monitors in year 6, who came out to help us cross the road.

We have been learning a poem called 'STOP, LOOK and LISTEN Before You Cross the Street'
Look out for this poem in your child's poetry folder on Friday.

Here are some pictures of us practicing stopping, looking both ways, and listening for the cars, before we cross the street.

We also talked about sneaky driveways-we know we have to be very careful to check that cars aren't backing out of the driveway before we cross over.

We hope you are all doing lot's of talking about how to keep safe on the roads!
