Anzac Day

Anzac poppy | Collections Online - Museum of New Zealand Te Papa ...

April 25th is a special day called Anzac Day.
It is a day to remember people who served in the war.

You might see lot's of red poppies in people's windows.

People wear poppies as a sign of respect for all of the people who served in the war.

You may like to put a poppy in your window.
Here is a template of some poppies you may like to print out, colour in, and put in your window or on your letter box.
You can find this template here by clicking on this link     poppies to colour in

Here is a poem about poppies that you can read together with your family.

  1. Kia Ora Tuatahi and happy Fun Friday!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I have started to see ANZAC poppies in my neighbourhood windows. I wonder if you will draw or colour in a poppy?

  2. What a fantastic poem. John, Arnie and I got up very early on Anzac morning and listened to the dawn service. It was really special.
