The Bounce Patrol video sings the sound for v as a bouncy sound, but in class we learn it as a stretchy sound-let's practise the song with a stretchy sound.

Can you find 7 things beginning with the letter v?

Word of the week and writing
Can you read these sentences with the word went in them.
Now have a go at writing your own sentences using the word went.

Reading
Here are a couple of fun versions of the story you might like to listen to as well.

Now it is time to practise reading your sight words. We hope you are getting faster! If you feel ready for a challenge, you can try the red and then yellow words next.

Happy reading everyone!

  1. Kia ora Tuatahi, I wonder if you found all the things that started with the letter V? Can you think of of a colour that starts with V.....have you heard of the colour violet, it is a beautiful dark purple colour. Did you know there is a flower called a violet and it can also be a girls name, with a capital letter though: Violet.
