Rāapa 26th Oketopa

Morena Tuatahi

Kei te pehea koutou katoa-how are you all?

We hope you enjoyed the weekend with your whanau, even though it was rather wet!

Here is some learning for today.

Fitness

Begin the day with some fitness by clicking on the videos below.

Reading

Now it's time to practise reading your high frequency words. Begin with magenta.

If you can read all of magenta have a go at red.

If you need even more of a challenge, then have a go at these yellow sight words.

Alphabet

Today we are thinking about the beginning sounds.

These words are rhyming words, can you see a pattern?

Say the word, listen carefully to the beginning sound and write it down to create a new word.

Word of the week and writing

Here are my sentences using the word when.  Have a go at reading them.

Now it's your turn to have a go at writing a sentence using the word when.

Maths

This week we are going to focus on recognising and continuing a repeating pattern.

It helps to say the pattern out loud-tell someone in your whanau what would come next in these patterns below.

If you have some crayons or coloured pencils at home you could have a go at copying the pattern onto your paper so that you can draw what comes next.

Have a great day Tuatahi-kia pai te ra.

We look forward to seeing you later this morning.

                               Ka Kite
