Maths fun!

We are learning how to gather information to make a graph.
Last week we made a pictograph to see which insect we would like to find in our garden.
We found out that a butterfly was the most popular insect and the cockroach was the least favourite.

This week we made a tally chart and a bar graph.
First we sorted a bowl of cubes into colours.

Then we counted how many of each colour there were.

We put our information into a tally chart and then we made a bar graph. Next time you are in Tuatahi, pop in and have a look at our finished graphs on the wall.
